Appoints Palatine Paints as a Sub-Distributor in The United Kingdom

Zenova Group PLC (AIM: ZED), a provider of fire safety and heat management technology solutions, is pleased to announce that it has entered a sub-distributor agreement with Palatine Paints (Palatine).

Palatine has grown into an established name in the United Kingdom, having celebrated 75 years in the market, and becoming one of the United Kingdoms' most trusted paint manufacturers and suppliers.

Both Zenova and Palatine are UK businesses and remain committed to using their respective products to improve and protect the UK's history and heritage. One such project, which will be undertaken in Q1 of 2023, requires ZENOVA FP to be used on a Heritage Site where the station house has previously been damaged by fire. Further information about this project will be released in due course.

Palatine have placed their first purchase order with Zenova and will initially stock ZENOVA primers, ZENOVA IP thermal insulation paint, and ZENOVA FP fire protection paint. Alongside the order, Zenova will work with Palatine to provide training to its staff on the products, which will be sold via Palatine's UK branches and associated websites. As a result, Zenova anticipates that there will be strong growth in the ongoing order book coming from this relationship.

Commenting on the new agreement, Jason Huyton, Managing Director of Palatine Paints, said: "I am really excited by this partnership, for over three quarters of a century Palatine Paints have been manufacturing and supplying market leading coatings in the UK. We have always complimented our own product portfolio with innovative forward-thinking suppliers that enhance this portfolio, and Zenova Group PLC certainly fit into that criterion.

Both companies share the same passion and enthusiasm to tackle climate and fire safety issues within the construction and housing sectors and in particular affordable housing. That's why I chose Zenova Group PLC, as I believe Zenova's outstanding products and rigorous testing standards will ensure our long-term objectives are achieved.

In a critical generational climate period for the planet, the introduction of such an outstanding product will provide a thermal insulating coating that embeds the most modern insulating technology in a thermos-like ultra-thin layer, saving energy by increasing the thermal insulation level in commercial and residential buildings. Solar heat can increase the temperature within a building by 75% to 90%. Zenova IP has been independently tested and validated to deflect, absorb, and dissipate up to 75% of this heat, thereby reducing the inside temperature by up to 45% and is suitable for both exterior and interior, on any type of surface.  Along with the Zenova FP - Intumescent Paint and Zenova IR - Thermal Insulating Coating for render, we now offer safer, sustainable, and cost-effective alternatives to other construction material alternatives."

Commenting on the new agreement, Tony Crawley, CEO of Zenova Group PLC, said: "I welcome Palatine Paints as one of Zenova's sub-distributing partners in the UK. They bring a wealth of knowledge and experience, built from many years of hands-on experience within the industry, to this arrangement. Their order is testimony to the quality and reliability of Zenova's products, and I am happy to see that the Zenova products are continuing to be adopted by leading companies within the sector. I believe that this strategic relationship will assist in building the brand recognition of Zenova and increase the demand for our products going forward."

About Zenova Group PLC:

The Group, through Zenova Ltd, is the holder of intellectual property that underpins a suite of fire safety and temperature management products and technology. The product range is applicable to industrial, commercial, and residential markets. The Group's products include fire retardant paints, insulating paints and render, fire extinguishing fluid and applications. Through innovative development, and a refined formulation and development process, Zenova provides industry leading solutions across a range of fire protection and temperature management problems, comprising:

Zenova FP

A water-based fire-protection paint that prevents ignition and spread of fire. It can be used in commercial, industrial, and domestic applications on variety of materials, from wood to metal.

Zenova FX

Patent pending fire extinguisher filled with proprietary Zenova Fluid (Zenova FXB) that extinguishes all types of fires, reduces chances of re-ignition, works in cold (-15 ̊C) conditions, is non-toxic and does not produce harmful by-products.

Zenova IP

Thermal insulation paint that creates a thermal barrier, provides thermal reflection of sunrays and infrared radiation, anti-condensation, and anti-mould properties. It can be applied to virtually any exterior or interior material, regardless of the surface.

Zenova IR

Thermal insulation render to enhance the effectiveness of insulation by creating a thermo shield. It fills all cavities and gaps regardless of geometric shape and creates a vacuum - the most effective insulator.

Zenova WB

A wildfire barrier fluid (applied via spray wands or aerial drops), which provides a virtual barrier where fire simply will not burn. Repeated tests on a variety of extremely dry wildfire fuels (grasses, hays, brush) demonstrates the incredible fire resistance Zenova WB provides, while remaining viable after application for 30+ days in dry conditions.

Zenova CS

Patent pending next generation ceiling sprinkler filled with proprietary Zenova Fluid (Zenova FXB) that removes the need to install large fluid tanks, piping, complicated equipment, and software. This sprinkler could be installed in the kitchen.

The Group has achieved this without compromising the sustainability of natural and economical resources, including personal health and safety, with ecologically sound products.
