The terms for using ticker.app and the Ticker app in ChatGPT. Last updated 1 October 2026.
Ticker is operated by IR Data Services Ltd (“IRDS”, “we”), a company registered in England (company number 12744939). These terms cover ticker.app and the Ticker app in ChatGPT (together, the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to them. Use of the Ticker API is covered by the API terms of service instead.
The Service provides information about companies listed in the UK, including regulatory announcements (RNS) from the London Stock Exchange and share price data from FactSet. In the Ticker app in ChatGPT, share prices are end-of-day closing prices, and announcements are shown as headlines, summaries and excerpts with a link to the full announcement on ticker.app. Responses in ChatGPT are written by ChatGPT from the information Ticker provides; ChatGPT’s own use is governed by OpenAI’s terms.
Everything in the Service is for information only. It is not a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security, and it is not financial, investment, tax or legal advice. You are responsible for your own investment decisions and should do your own research, or take advice from an authorised adviser, before acting on any information from the Service.
We source data from the London Stock Exchange, FactSet and other providers and present it on a best-efforts basis. RNS announcements are reproduced as published; summaries and other information derived from them may contain errors. We do not guarantee that the Service is accurate, complete, timely or available without interruption, and we may change or withdraw any part of it. See the disclaimer for our data sources and attribution.
You may use the Service for your own personal research. Data from the Service may not be reproduced, redistributed or republished, or used to build a competing dataset or product, without our prior written consent. For commercial use or redistribution, contact [email protected].
Don’t use the Service unlawfully, attempt to disrupt or overload it, scrape or systematically download data from it, or try to get around any limits or security measures. We may restrict or end access for anyone who does.
The Service and its content are owned by IRDS and its licensors, including the London Stock Exchange and FactSet. Using the Service gives you a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to view that content under these terms; all other rights are reserved.
We are not liable for losses arising from investment, trading or other financial decisions, for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses caused by inaccuracy, delay, interruption or unavailability of the Service. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version, and continuing to use the Service means you accept the update. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
Questions about these terms: use the contact page. How we handle personal data is set out in the privacy policy.
