On 2 November 2026, Blackbird plc announced the appointment of current non-executive director Youri Hazanov as its interim non-executive Chair. He replaces Chief Executive Officer Ian McDonough, who had been serving as interim Chair since the previous Chair stepped down in June 2025. The company confirmed it is continuing its search for a permanent independent non-executive Chair.

Blackbird’s Chief Executive Officer, Ian McDonough, had taken on the role of Chair, on an interim basis, following the previous Chair stepping down in June 2025.
In order to follow best governance practice Youri Hazanov has now taken on the role of non-executive Chair on an interim basis.
