In accordance with the Financial Conduct Authority's (FCA) Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rule 5.6.1R, the Company notifies the market that as at 28 April 2023:
1. The Company's issued share capital comprised 16,453,995,012 ordinary shares of EUR 0.50 each, each with one vote, 287,779,238 ordinary shares of EUR 0.50 each are held in treasury.
2. Therefore, for the purpose of the FCA's Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rule 5.6.1R, the total number of voting rights in the Company was 16,166,215,774 and this figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the FCA's Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rules.
