Appointment of Sue Clark as non-executive director

Hill & Smith PLC ('Hill & Smith' or the 'Group'), the leading provider of solutions that enhance the resilience of vital infrastructure and the built environment, is pleased to announce the appointment of Sue Clark as an additional non-executive director with effect from 2 October 2026. Sue will join the Nomination, Audit and Remuneration Committees from appointment and assume the role of Senior Independent Director from Tony Quinlan on 1 January 2027. Tony Quinlan will remain on the Board in his role of non-executive director and Chair of Remuneration Committee.

Sue Clark is Senior Independent Director & Chair of the Remuneration Committee at easyJet plc, Mondi plc and Imperial Brands plc. Sue has a strong strategic and operational background gained within large international companies in both executive and non-executive capacities. Sue commenced her career with the Central Electricity Generating Board, National Power plc and Railtrack Group plc, subsequently serving in leadership roles at SABMiller plc. She has previously served as a non-executive director of AkzoNobel NV, Britvic plc and Bakkavor Group plc.
