UK critical infrastructure cyber security strengthened under new collaboration between Siemens and NCC Group
Leading technology company Siemens and global cyber security and resilience business NCC Group are working together to help protect the UK's critical infrastructure and industry from a rapidly evolving cyber threat landscape, with a new collaboration focused on securing the operational technology that underpins industry, energy and defence.
Together, the two businesses aim to support asset owners, operators and supply chains with an end-to-end approach to cyber resilience, combining Siemens' deep expertise in industrial automation, control systems and operational technology with NCC Group's upstream deep cyber security expertise that enables organisations to modernise with greater speed and assurance.
The two organisations have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate on strengthening cyber security across critical national infrastructure, with a focus on the convergence of IT and OT environments where data systems connect with real-world operations.
The agreement builds on a shared ambition between the two organisations to work more closely on industrial cyber security, reflecting the scale and urgency of today's threat landscape.
Paul Hingley, Cybersecurity Expert at Siemens UK & Ireland said: "Organisations responsible for keeping the country powered, connected and secure are under growing pressure to protect not just their IT systems, but the operational technology that controls physical assets on the ground.
"This collaboration brings together complementary strengths to help customers protect the physical systems that keep the country running."
Peter Vorley, Chief Commercial Officer, NCC Group, said: "Cyber resilience is now a fundamental enabler of industrial performance. Our collaboration with Siemens reflects a shared ambition to support organisations as they connect, automate and modernise their operational environments. By combining our strengths, we can help customers move forward faster and more safely, while shaping a more secure digital future for the sector."
Key industry trends like cyber security are being discussed at Transform 2026, where thousands of industry leaders, technology experts and policymakers are convening at Manchester Central to explore the future of digital and sustainable transformation. Hosted by Siemens, the free-to-attend two-day conference and exhibition is taking place on July 15th and 16th with NCC Group joining the agenda as part of a keynote panel session.
