The 'Transaction in Own Shares' announcement released on 21 January 2025 at 07.00 under RNS no. 0246U contained two incorrect figures in the final paragraph of the announcement. These figures have been corrected to 9,468,762 and 555,458,774. The full text of the corrected announcement in respect of the transaction in own shares which took place on 20 January 2025 is below:
The Company announces that in accordance with the authority granted at the Company's Annual General Meeting held on 19 June 2024, it purchased on 20 January 2025, 94,000 ordinary shares of one pence each in the capital of the Company ("Ordinary Shares") at an average price of 63.41 pence per share. These shares will be held by the Company in treasury.
Following this transaction, the Company holds 9,468,762 Ordinary Shares in treasury and has 564,927,536 Ordinary Shares in issue, including those in treasury. Therefore, the total number of voting rights in the Company is 555,458,774 and accordingly that figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator for calculations of interests in the Company's voting rights in accordance with the FCA's Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rules.
