Transaction in own shares

Further to the announcement made on 29 July 2024, Tesco PLC (the "Company") announces that on 09 October 2024 it has purchased, in accordance with the authority granted by shareholders at the 2024 Annual General Meeting of the Company, the following number of ordinary shares of 6 1/3 pence on the London Stock Exchange pursuant to its existing £1billion share buyback programme.

The purchased shares will be cancelled.

Following the purchase of these shares, the remaining number of ordinary shares in issue will be 6,853,070,664. The Company does not hold any ordinary shares in Treasury.

The figure of 6,853,070,664 may be used by shareholders (and others with notification obligations) as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the Disclosure and Transparency Rules.

In accordance with Article 5(1)(b) of Regulation (EU) No 596/2014 as it applies in the UK (the Market Abuse Regulation), a full breakdown of the individual purchases is attached to this announcement.
